John Wearn Reserve

A playground that feels a little more like an adventure than your average park.

John Wearn Reserve has a safari themed playground filled with life sized animal sculptures, including a lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe, hippo and monkey. Some of the animals even make sounds as kids get close expect plenty of roaring, laughing and animal spotting.

The playground has a timber play structure with a slide, swings, climbing elements, stepping logs, a teepee and bamboo tunnel, with plenty of open grass around it for running and exploring.

Good to know: There are toilets with baby change facilities, picnic tables, BBQs, drinking fountains and a car park. The wider reserve also has a skate park, sports courts, dog park and outdoor fitness equipment.

Best for: Animal loving kids, imaginative play & getting some energy out
