Planning a trip to Bowral with the kids? We've rounded up five spots worth adding to your next Southern Highlands day trip, from farm animals and playgrounds to sweet treats and a relaxed lunch.
1. Briars Inn
A great option for lunch with kids. Briars Inn has a relaxed atmosphere, plenty of space and a cubby house with a slide to keep little ones entertained. A good spot to enjoy a meal without feeling like you need to rush everyone out the door.
2. Cupcake Co
If your kids love a sweet treat, this little shop is worth a visit. Cupcake Co offers a cute high tea experience, with cupcakes, cakes and plenty of other temptations.
3. Burradoo Park Farm
One of our favourite family finds in the Southern Highlands! Burradoo Park Farm has friendly farm animals, hands-on activities, a bug room, playground and food options all in one place. General admission is free. Book a free entry ticket for weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
4. Bowral Sweets & Treats
An old-school lolly shop filled with fudge, chocolates, colourful sweets and nostalgic favourites. Kids will love choosing a treat, and there's a good chance the grown-ups will find something from their childhood too.
5. Glebe Park
A lovely spot to finish your day in Bowral. Glebe Park has a Donald Bradman-inspired playground with plenty of opportunities to climb, explore and burn off some energy. The surrounding green space is beautiful too.
